Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding won't just be fun – it'll be educational.
"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to let their guests discover the Château of Versailles during a private surprise tour on Friday, May 23, the eve of their wedding," reads the statement by the couple and officials at the Louis XIV estate. "In making this choice, they are contributing to a better understanding and maintaining the exceptional heritage of the castle of Versailles, which is classed a World Heritage site UNESCO."
Guests will be able to take a private guided tour of the celebrated palace whose unique attractions include The Hall of Mirrors, the King's Grand Apartments and formal gardens with fountains and water attractions.
The couple visited Versailles privately in January, but palace officials took to Twitter to dispel rumors that the ceremony itself would be held there.
Staff members for Kardashian and West were spotted scouting out the arrivals area of the palace on Sunday. Guards were seen measuring the distance that friends and family would need to walk over cobblestones, as well sizing up a golden gate that may be a concern for guests in ball gowns.
