Lena Dunham ditched the pale purple from fictional pal Marnie's Girls' wedding in favor of sequins at real-life pal Audrey Gelman's Detroit nuptials over the weekend.
Serving as a bridesmaid for the P.R. consultant's wedding to Genius.com's co-founder Ilan Zechory, Dunham donned a beige colored turtleneck with a vibrant, customized sequin skirt crafted with the apparent blessing of J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons. The event design and coordination was by Madranas Custom Culture and the florist was Sachi Rose.
Posing alongside the eight other member's of the bride's wedding party, Dunham accessorized the look with socks and shiny gold loafers.
"What happens when @jcrew goddess Jenna Lyons lets a bunch of crazy b------ customize their skirts... here we go #gomezandmorticia," Dunham wrote on Instagram.
A close-up of the unique ensembles – captioned, appropriately, "The devil is in the details" – revealed that the intricately adorned skirts featured varying initial patches and floral appliqués.
Gelman – who previously dated photographer Terry Richardson – and Zechory said "I do" at Detroit's Piquette Plant, a museum and former Ford factory. The bride stunned in a white lace dress, and wore her down in loose waves.

Dunham seems to be content as just a bridesmaid for now, despite her longterm relationship with musician Jack Antonoff.
"I feel intimidated because, I don't want to espouse any stereotypes, but gay people are kind of killing it at weddings right now," the 29-year-old actress told Ellen DeGeneres last fall. "They're kind of winning at weddings. So, I don't want to go in and just pale in comparison."
She continued, "I mean we own a dog together. We own a home together, but the marriage thing is a big deal." She admitted, however, that she is excited to marry Antonoff "at some point."
