Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o has been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The hotly anticipated movie, directed by J. J. Abrams, already boasts an A-list roster including Girls actor Adam Driver and the franchise's original stars, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.
Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thones is also joining the film.
"I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII," producer Kathleen Kennedy told THR in a statement Monday. "It's thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape."
