"I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my shows for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour," Carey wrote on her Instagram page Friday.
"I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs," the singer concluded.
Carey, 45, had reportedly been warned to cancel her Sunday concert in Belgian capital's Forest National.
The concert was planned to coincide with the star's 46th birthday.
It was previously reported that Carey's tour will be the subject of a E! documentary tilted Mariah's World.
The State Department confirmed Friday morning that at least two Americans died in the Brussels airport bombing on Tuesday.
