The 45-year-old Oscar winner took to Facebook on Tuesday to congratulate his wife, Camila Alves, 33, on becoming a U.S. citizen.
Pictured in a courtroom, McConaughey stood next to his wife of three years and their three children, Levi, 7, Vida, 5, and Livingston, 2.
"Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today – another fellow and great American," the actor captioned the photo.
Alves, who is originally from Brazil, moved to the U.S. years ago as a model and has been living in Austin, Texas, with McConaughey and their kids.
The picture-perfect family dressed up (a little) for the occasion, with little Vida in a sundress, Livingston in a button-up white shirt, and Levi wearing a collared shirt and jacket. McConaughey brought a little Texas flavor to the occasion, because, well, he can! The actor rocked a baseball cap and a polo shirt.
Alright, Alright, Alright: Which Star Does the Best Matthew
Alves shared her excitement over her new status on Twitter, writing, "Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country. #newuscitizen."
