Megan Fox has joined a mobile game!
Fox, 29, is now Amelia Delthanis, Captain of the High Council Guard, in Plarium's Stormfall: Rise of Balur.
"I'm really excited to play the role of Amelia in Stormfall," Fox said in a statement. "Not only do I get a chance to lead players through the beginning of the game, but it’s fun to play a very empowered, strong female character."
Delthanis – whose "fierce and strong-willed demeanor caused her to cut ties with her highborn upbringing, to take up the sword and pursue the path of a warrior" – is described as a "mentor and guide as players join the fight to save Stormfall from the forces of darkness," according to a press release.
Fox's character is also the first in a series of future Stormfall updates, which will include a new tutorial, along with a single-player campaign that will explore what led to Delthanis' current role in the game world.
And in a behind-the-scenes video of Fox filming commercials for the game, the actress revealed she "was a big gamer at one point in [her] life."
"But I've not played a lot of strategy-oriented games," she continued. "I've always thought of sort of the explore and conquer genre as more of like a serious gamer type genre. But I feel like that's opening up a lot more now and it's becoming a more broad and accessible part of Hollywood and gaming."
Stormfall: Rise of Balur is available on iTunes and Google Play.
