The Charlottesville Police Department received more than 400 tips from callers since 18-year-old University of Virginia student Hannah Graham went missing on Saturday. It seems some of the calls may have helped, officials say.

Based on new information, police officers issued a warrant to search a man's apartment and his 1998 burnt orange Chrysler Coupe nearly a week after the second-year student disappeared near the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"Hannah Graham may have gotten into that vehicle," said police chief Timothy Longo at a press conference Friday where they called the man, whom they didn't identify, a person of interest. The owner of the car is described as a 32-year-old black male with dreadlocks. He is 6'2" and weighs 270 lbs.

"People saw Hannah. People saw him. People saw them together," said Longo. "If you remember seeing that vehicle, we need to hear from you."

Earlier this week, a surveillance video showed a white male following Graham. But when police questioned him, the witness said Graham was greeted by a black male who put his arm around her. He assumed they knew each other and left, police said.

Since then, detectives learned Graham and the black male entered Tempo Restaurant & Bar after 1 a.m., where he ordered alcohol, the police chief said.

"Everyone within the sound of my voice, you have a responsibility to help us find her," said Longo in an impassioned plea for help. "[The Grahams] want their daughter back. They want to know what happened to their little girl."

Authorities describe Graham as 5'11", with a slender build, blue eyes, light brown hair and freckles. Anyone with more information is urged to contact the police tip line at (434) 295-3851.
