The NBA Finals are over – now it's the offseason, a time for professional basketball players to sit back, relax and maybe check out their Twitter mentions for the first time in months.

But as Jimmy Kimmel's latest entry in the Celebrities Read Mean Tweets About Themselves franchise proves, that might not be such a great idea.

On Sunday night's post-Finals episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the TV host brought in a series of NBA players, veterans and commentators to get a firsthand look at the kind of abuse being a popular sports figure entails. Some of the criticism was rude – Stephen Curry's facial hair is fine, seriously – and some was on-point – Dikembe Mutombo does sound a lot like a certain Sesame Street character – but each barb left its target chuckling all the same. Being a super-athletic millionaire makes it easy to laugh off the little things.

As always, some of the rude Tweeters used their newfound bully pulpit to immediately apologize:

Just a reminder: If you don't have anything nice to say, make sure you Tweet it so that you may one day end up on national television.
