"Not having my brothers with me all the time has been an adjustment," Nick Jonas, 22, tells PEOPLE of life after he and his siblings Kevin, 27, and Joe, 25, disbanded in 2013. "It is very different to step out on my own but I've chosen to focus on the positivity of it all and how incredible this year has been."
And it has been quite the incredible year.
Nick's song "Jealous" skyrocketed up the Billboard charts, he got rave reviews for his performance in DirecTV's Kingdom, and he will host the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on March 28. Still, he may have gotten the most headlines for his steamy, skin-barring photos.

"They have definitely taken one or two shots in a playful way," Nick says of Kevin and Joe's reaction.
Not that he minds it.
"I expected it," he says. "We're brothers. It's our job to give each other crap."
