"She's a woman who definitely embraces life and she enjoys life and she doesn't take anything too seriously," says Singer, 59, who admits she knew Wainstein before she joined the show. "She has a positive attitude. I like that about her."
In the eighth season, which premiered Wednesday, the friendships between the women are deep enough that "there is no holding back" and no one is afraid to talk about things. For example, a strain is placed on Singer's relationship with her best friend Sonja Morgan after Singer gives her some tough love.
"I talk to her about things I think are important to her and to her health and she just doesn't want to hear it," says Singer. "We just sort of grow part."
She continues, "If someone doesn't want to help themselves, how can you really be there for them?"
You'll have to watch the season to find out if the women see if the women manage to repair their relationship.
