For Reese Witherspoon, there's no place like home.
The actress took to social media to share a sweet photo collage of her day back at Harpeth Hall School, an all-girls private college preparatory school in Nashville, where she accepted the 2016 Harpeth Hall/Ward-Belmont Distinguished Alumna Award on Thursday.
"Great day yesterday! Took a stroll down memory lane at @harpeth_hall, my old high school in #Nashville, and spoke to the amazing student body about how lucky we are to be educated, free women in this world. #GoHoneyBears #WhoRunTheWorld #FBF," the class of '94 alumna wrote on her Instagram and Twitter.
"The best advice I can give to anyone about the future is be curious," Witherspoon told students. "If you’re curious, you’ll never be bored. The world will open up to you over and over."
Because both of Witherspoon's parents were in the medical field, she saw the acting route as "impractical" and ventured off to Stanford for pre-med. But her strong passion to follow her dreams is truly shown through her success in the entertainment industry, today.
"By the time I was a sophomore at Stanford, I knew more about storytelling than anything medical, and I realized it was okay to not do what my family did. I could do something completely different," she continued. "But I had to be brave. I had to push myself to feel comfortable living in California where I knew no one. It’s important to be brave even when you are a high school student."

And it seems there was one particular part of the lecture that really made for their #TBT: the lesson of how to "bend and snap" properly.
