In a preview for Tuesday's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Hadid opens up about her impending divorce, saying that moving into her new condo has been a positive to come out of the breakup.
"I couldn't live in the same house with David. It was very important to me to find a healing space that is mine and a place for my children to call home," Hadid says in a confessional interview. "The new condo feels like a very safe space. We anchored there. That's where the family belongs for now."
She goes on to tell Erika Girardi about the difficult side of the split.
"I'm getting used to it. Before I got married, I moved my family to move together with David. But it feels good to be back on my own. In your own space," she tells Girardi, going on to say, "if you stop making each other happy, then you shouldn't be together."
She adds in a confessional interview that "divorce is almost like a death."
"It's shocking. David was my life partner. My best friend. And I miss my best friend," said Hadid.
There have been hints of trouble in the marriage on this season's RHOBH, but this will be the first episode to cover the split head-on.
Hadid, 52, and Foster, 66, announced they were separating after four years of marriage and nine years together in December.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
