In recent years, celebrities such as Kate Upton, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and many more have been asked to prom by regular high schoolers. Some online proposals have been quite extravagant, others have tugged at our heartstrings, and in the case of Pennsylvania student Patrick Farves, who asked Miss America Nina Davuluri to the dance last month, his proposition got him suspended from school.
While celebs obviously can't reply to every date request they get on social media, some proposals are so good, they simply couldn't go unanswered. Here are five famous folks who have been asked to prom – and accepted.

White never responded directly to Monzo's request, leading her to believe that he had never seen it. Instead, the snowboarder contacted the school to plan a big surprise for the teen. During the dance, the dean of students called Monzo up to the stage, the curtains were raised and White and his band, Bad Things, started playing. "It was crazy," she told CBS Philly. "I was speechless!"
After a few songs, White joined his date on the dance floor, where they sang along to the DJ and snapped pictures, which were later posted on social media. White flew all the way from Austria to be Monzo's date, and at the end of the night, she even got a kiss – on the cheek. "It was so amazing," she told The Huffington Post. "I can't even describe it to you."
In 2007, just as the pop singer was hitting it big, Rihanna showed up as the surprise date for Richard in MTV's reality series, Once Upon a Prom. The shy teen was completely "awestruck" when the star stepped out of the limo wearing a flowing blue dress.
"I want to let you know how terrified I am," he said as they got in the limo, giving Rihanna a hug. The star spent the night dancing, mingling with Richard's friends, and even taking the traditional awkward prom photo, which we imagine is probably still hanging in a place of honor in Richard's house.

Bryant reportedly flew Brandy and her mom out to Philadelphia for the dance, giving the singer the royal treatment. "I just felt like a normal 17-year-old," Brandy said of the dance. "It was so much fun, although it was cameras and media there, it still felt normal to be in a school with kids my age ... I really needed to experience that, and I wouldn't if Kobe never asked me."
She may not have been his first choice, but she certainly isn't a bad backup date, either. In March 2013, Los Angeles high schooler Jake Davidson asked Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl Kate Upton to be his prom date via a YouTube video. Upton replied that she was hoping to fit the dance into her packed schedule, but in the end the supermodel wasn't able to make it work. That's when Inside Edition stepped in, setting Davidson up with another striking model: Nina Agdal.
"It was a surreal experience," Davidson told The Huffington Post after the dance, saying that he and Agdal actually had a lot in common. "I told her anytime she's in L.A. she can look me up and we can go out to dinner." Lucky Nina!
One year after the singer and actress crashed a prom with best friend Selena Gomez following the premiere of their Disney Channel film Princess Protection Program, Demi Lovato returned to her hometown of Dallas to fulfill a longtime promise – to attend prom with guy friend Nolan Nardecchia.
Wearing a long, red, strapless gown, the star posted a picture of herself posing with her date, along with the caption, "A promise made in kindergarten finally coming true ... Prom with Nolan!" Lovato's then-boyfriend Joe Jonas even rented a Rolls Royce for the star to drive to the dance, making sure she and her friends arrived in style.
