Blake Lively is pregnant with her second child, which means Ryan Reynolds could be one step closer to filling his house with little women.

The Deadpool star recently told PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly Editorial Director Jess Cagle during an interview on SiriusXM EW Radio that he "can't get enough" of having a daughter.

"If I could have nine daughters, I would be thrilled," Reynolds said. "Really, like I genuinely would be."

Reynolds, PEOPLE's reigning Sexiest Dad Alive, welcomed James with wife Lively in December 2014, and a source close to Lively confirms to PEOPLE that the couple is expecting their second child.

"Blake is absolutely thrilled and so is Ryan," the source tells PEOPLE. A rep for both actors had no comment.

"Having a daughter was a dream come true for me," Reynolds previously told PEOPLE. "I would have made a terrible king."

While Reynolds said he would be thrilled to have a boy, after growing up with four brothers, he'd be happy for a change of pace. "I would love to have a little boy at some point, but I would not be an unhappy man if I had a six-person soccer team of girls," he joked.

"I'm just fine being surrounded by estrogen. I grew up in a house full of testosterone: I'm the youngest of four boys, and my dad was a cop, and that's intense," he added. "For whatever reason, I always got along great with girls. I don't have to prepare to be wrapped around my daughter's finger – it has happened."

Whether the new baby is a boy or a girl, both parents are excited to continue expanding their family. "My wife is the youngest of five; we'd love to have a large family. But you can't cross that bridge until you get to it."

And while Reynolds loves gushing about fatherhood, he's careful not to sound like he invented being a dad. "I always laugh because celebrities, you know, you always cringe when you hear them talk about their kids," he told PEOPLE.

"They literally talk about like, 'My child is the only one who has ever exited a womb ever!' And you're just like well, a lot of people have done this," he added. "So you always want to temper it with a bit of self-effacement, but I love it. I truly worship that kid."
