"The only thing I find unfortunate is that I'm seeing a ton of press saying 'Scott's off the wagon and he's this and he's that and he's all these things,' " he told PEOPLE exclusively. "The truth is I never lied and said that I was never going to have a beer again. I never said I was never going to have a cigarette again. I never lied and said I was never going to go to the beach again. I never lied and said I was not going to be around my friends and their girlfriends and girls and friends."
Scott said he wasn't on a "crazy mission of destruction" as he felt many media outlets painted the trip.
"I was down there hanging out like any other single 32-year-old guy would be," he said, adding that he was there with many male friends, but images only showed him surrounded by women.
On Friday, Kourtney Kardashian's ex was in Las Vegas hanging out at 1 OAK Nightclub with NFL Quarterback Johnny Manziel and 1 club owner Eli Pacino. There, Disick sporadically sipped Grey Goose vodka and maintained his composure.
"The truth is I just to live my life and I want to have a little happiness and a little balance," he said. "The truth is rehab did help me and now I'm just trying to be responsible. I'm not out here trying to get wasted, but you know what, I will have a beer on the beach. I'm not doing drugs, I'm not doing anything insane, so I think people just need to relax … I just want to try to live my life."
Really, Disick said he was bewildered at how the media has portrayed his life. The reality star said he feels judged by his every move and he doesn't think it's necessarily fair.
"I'm not sure I can stay home every single night at 32 years old and be sane," he said. "In the end, I'm trying to live my life. I'm trying to live it healthy. I'm trying to be there for the people I love, which is Kourtney and kids, but you know what, we're not together."
He continued, "I'm single and I'm trying to keep my mind off of things … At the end of the day I think people just need to understand that I have never lied about anything about myself. I am who I am. I do what I do, and enough is enough."
Asked if drinking was a slippery slope for him considering his stint in rehab last year, he said, "Not at all anymore, I'm totally fine."
"I mean, I went in for a lot of different reasons. My biggest thing was that I was very addicted to sleeping medication," he said. "And now, it's fine."
Disick understands that he is a public personality, but he feels that he's treated unfairly.
"I drink responsibly. I have a couple drinks with my friends when I'm out just like anyone else," he said. "At the end of the day I just want to fit in and I just want to be treated like anybody else and I don't want to be beat up every day."
A source previously told PEOPLE that Disick was drinking during his stay at Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis' home in Punta Mita, Mexico. However, they added that he was "keeping it under control."
"Scott's with girls at the house, who are all models and super hot, he's having an amazing time," the source added. "He's single and doing what single guys do, have fun and hang out with single hot girls."
