It's part of a balanced breakfast.

Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars star Shailene Woodley guest-starred on the Late Show Monday, and she dished on, well, one of her favorite dishes: clay.

"I do eat clay, yeah. Do you?" Woodley told David Letterman.

"Clay binds to other materials in your body and helps your body excrete those materials – that are not necessarily the best for you," Woodley elaborated.

"Have you heard of Metamucil?" Letterman rejoined, which drew a laugh from the audience. Woodley went on to explain that she gets her clay from a company that sources it from Colorado, and eats about a teaspoon each day, in addition to making her toothpaste from the stuff.

You can watch the full clip below, and be sure to catch Woodley's clay-enhanced self in The Fault in Our Stars, out June 6.
