The partner of slain EastEnders actress Sian Blake admitted in court to killing the soap star and their two sons.

Jim Sturman QC, defense council for Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, told London's Central Criminal Court this morning, "He admits the killings." Sturman said the defense will tell the jury of this admission at his October 4 trial for three counts of murder.

Simpson-Kent, who appeared on a videolink from nearby Belmarsh prison wearing a red T-shirt and dark tracksuit pants, did not enter a plea during the 16-minute hearing.

The freelance hairdresser and stylist fled to Ghana days after Blake, 43, and their sons Zachary, 8, and Amon, 4, were reported missing by the NSPCC anti-child abuse charity, on Dec. 16.
