Jim Sturman QC, defense council for Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, told London's Central Criminal Court this morning, "He admits the killings." Sturman said the defense will tell the jury of this admission at his October 4 trial for three counts of murder.
Simpson-Kent, who appeared on a videolink from nearby Belmarsh prison wearing a red T-shirt and dark tracksuit pants, did not enter a plea during the 16-minute hearing.
The freelance hairdresser and stylist fled to Ghana days after Blake, 43, and their sons Zachary, 8, and Amon, 4, were reported missing by the NSPCC anti-child abuse charity, on Dec. 16.

The bodies of all three were later discovered buried in shallow graves in the back garden of the family home in Erith, Kent. Postmortem examinations provisionally concluded that the soap star and her children died as a result of serious head and neck injuries.
