One New York Yankees fan is looking for more than peanuts and Cracker Jacks from his baseball game – he wants $10 million.

Andrew Robert Rector recently filed a lawsuit against the Yankees, Major League Baseball and ESPN for defamation after a clip of Rector sleeping during the April 13 Yankee game against the Boston Red Sox aired on television and was posted online by MLB.com. The scorned fan is asking for $10 million in damages from the three powerhouses, reports the New York Post.

In the video, the announcers poke fun at Rector, asking, "Is he here alone?" "What's the deal with this guy?" "How comfortable is that?" and "Did he sleep through the Beltran homer?" Nothing particularly mean-spirited seems to come from their banter, but Rector and his legal counsel see it differently.

"In the course of watching the game, plaintiff napped and this opened unending verbal crusade against the napping plaintiff," reads Rector's complaint, according to Courthouse News. "The defendant MLB.com continued the onslaught to a point of comparing the plaintiff to someone of a confused state of mind, disgusted, disgruntled and unintelligent and probably intellectually bankrupt individual."

The document also cites several malicious comments posted on MLB.com's YouTube video as further evidence of wrongdoing, saying Rector was wrongly called "a fatty cow," "a socially bankrupt individual" and "not worthy to be a fan of the New York Yankees."

The infamous napper's complaint is only drawing more attention to the clip, but hopefully Rector is sleeping easier now that his lawsuit has been filed.

Below, read the complete copy of Rector's complaint regarding the incident.
