Arrest warrants obtained by PEOPLE allege James Loftis' wife waltzed into Goose Creek's police headquarters on Saturday, and told detectives her husband was having suicidal thoughts.
As she was speaking with investigators, Wilda Loftis claimed her husband told her he had killed two men, but didn't name them. He allegedly told his wife he "put them in the backyard," according to police.
The identities of the two murder victims are being withheld at this time, law enforcement officials tell PEOPLE.
His arrest warrant claims Loftis told police he'd taken a cab from a local strip club and that his two victims followed him home. Loftis claims the two men forced their way into his home, demanding money.

Loftis allegedly told them he'd be getting them cash, and walked into a different room in his home, where he retrieved a handgun, according to police. Loftis said he fired eight shots at the men.
According to affidavits, Loftis admitted to police he moved the taxi to a different part of town and purchased five gallons of gas on his way back. He told police he cleaned his home with bleach, then put his clothing, towels, and the bodies in a hole in the yard.
He told police he then set the shallow grave on fire.
Loftis has been charged with two counts of murder and is being held without bail. Court records fail to indicate whether Loftis has an attorney.
