Stevie Nicks is stepping away from the coven and up to the card table.

At least, that's what her new single, "The Dealer," would have you believe. The lead tune off her forthcoming album, 24 Karat Gold – Songs from the Vault, is a jaunty, piano-based tune with a bit of retro country-kick that conflates gambling imagery and a tale of lost love. (The tune apparently dates back to the late-1970s, Tusk-era Fleetwood Mac.)

"I was the mistress of my fate, I was the card shark / If I'd've looked a little ahead, I would've run away," Nicks sings in the song's chorus.

Produced with Eurythmics guitarist and Nicks's longtime guitarist Waddy Wachtel (who plays the iconic "chicka-chicka-chicka" guitar part on "Edge of Seventeen"), 24 Karat Gold will be released Oct. 7 on Warner Bros. records. Nicks nerds will be able to score a limited-edition double LP beginning Sept. 29 (you can pre-order one starting Wednesday). The package includes a 48-page photo book and two bonus tracks.

And for fans of the Mac, we've got good news as well: After her album's release, Nicks will head out on tour with Fleetwood Mac, a 35-show undertaking that will see the group reunited with singer Christine McVie, who left the band in 1998.

Earlier this year, Nicks said she "would love to write some music" for Game of Thrones, so maybe we'll get to hear that collaboration. "Just like the black-winged dragon, singing 'Hoo, hoo, hoo.' "
