Gabaldon died before investigators could glean any information from her about the attack. But a suspect was identified within hours, and, working with detectives in Colorado, where the suspect was located, West Valley City police were able to track down the suspect, who was taken into custody on Sunday.
Police are still searching for Gabaldon's vehicle: A 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing the Utah license plate W663BR. They have asked for the public's cooperation in tracking down the SUV.
