Since then, more and more stars have spoken out to either support or condemn the reality TV mogul's klothes-free policy.
To help you keep track of the ever-growing number of celebs who have declared their party affiliation, we're breaking down Team Kim vs. Team Klothes:
Team Klothes: Bette Midler
The actress wasted no time sharing thoughts on Kardashian's au naturale pic.
"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera," Midler tweeted hours after the selfie was posted, referencing Kardashian's infamous sex tape.
Not one to let the diss stand, Kardashian clapped back with tweets of her own. "hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding," she wrote in one post, later adding, "hey @BetteMidler I really didn't want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu."
Midler came through with another retort, thrilling Twitter feud-lovers everywhere:
.@KimKardashian: I never tried to fake friend you. Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke...— Bette Midler (@BetteMidler) March 8, 2016
Team Kim: Ariel Winter
The Modern Family star sensed sexism at work in the critiques of Kardashian's selfie, and she wasn't having any of it.
"No one was body shaming @justinbieber when he posted his nude guitar photo so why @KimKardashian? #herbodyherchoice," Winter tweeted. "I think everyone, men and women, should have the right to choose what they do with their bodies – and not be criticized," she added.
Team Klothes: Pink
Pink shared a message that seemingly accused Kardashian of using her sexuality to get attention instead of her "brains," "strength," or "work ethic."
"Shout out to all of the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their 'magic' that they were born with, that only they possess. It may not ever bring you as much 'attention' or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your tits and asses, but women like you don't need that kind of 'attention," she said.
Team Kim: Amber Rose
Rose was not impressed by what she viewed as slut-shaming on Pink's part. The model posted a screenshot of Pink's tweet along with a lengthy piece of her mind.
Damn Pink we were all born naked society sexualizes our breast and bodies. If a grown mother of 2 is comfortable with her body and wants to show it off that's none of ur business or anyone else's. Now, if u wanna talk to kids and be a mentor to young teens, tell them to go to school and to not use their bodies to get ahead?! I'm all for it! But please as a grown woman let another grown woman live as she wishes. That's our problem! We're so quick to down each other instead of uplifting! Pink, We've seen u damn near naked swinging from a rope( Beautifully) but what's the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism. Because u sing while ur half naked does that make it "Classy" or is it because u have a "talent"? I'm not dissing at all Pink just curious after u said "You'll never have to make a silly excuse for yourself".

Later, Rose invited Kardashian to her next SlutWalk, telling the star that she can relate to her experiences with shaming and encouraging her to speak out.
"Make a difference and speak on it! Not only when it's convenient for u but when u can help others," Rose told Kardashian. "Let's let the naysayers know u are so much more then a sex tape (13 years ago) f––– it own it. Ur a mom and a business woman, a wife, sister and daughter."
Team Klothes: Chloë Grace Moretz
Moretz replied to Kardashian's post with concern for the star's influence as a role model. "I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies," she commented.
"There's a huge difference in respecting the platform that you're given as a celebrity and "slut shaming" something I never have done and would never do," she then tweeted in defense of her statement.
The actress also applauded Pink's message, calling it a "smart, strong statement. My sentiments exactly."
Like Midler, Moretz was in for a snarky Kardashian rebuttal:
let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) March 8, 2016
Team Kim: Demi Lovato
Having personal experience with nude photo shoots, the pop star supported Kardashian's right to bare it all with an empowerment-centric sketch shared on Instagram:
Team Klothes: Piers Morgan
Perhaps Kardashian's most vocal and thorough critic, Morgan wrote an entire Daily Mail article bashing her risqué antics.
But it all started with a heated exchange following the selfie's debut:
I know the old man's $50 million in debt, Kim - but this is absurd.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 7, 2016
Want me to buy you some clothes? https://t.co/hEA9osB2QF
Morgan's piece went live the next day.
The writer, who has repeatedly voiced his suspicion that Kardashian's husband Kanye West was the real brain behind her defensive tweets, says the star has "morphed into a bragging, taunting female version of her other half."
He also posits that Kardashian, who he writes has "ruthlessly exploited every crevice of her body in a way so spectacularly successful that it's turned her into a multi-millionaire," is still posting revealing pictures in her elderly years (35) out of fear that her celebrity is being eclipsed by the younger members of the Kardashian-Jenner crew.
"But it's hard to escape the creeping suspicion that this new frenzied and frankly rather desperate attempt to 'break the internet' is happening because other younger members of her family have been grabbing all the scantily-clad attention recently, notably half-sister 20-year-old Kendall 'Instagram Queen' Jenner," Morgan writes.
Since the article's release, Morgan has continued to comment on the selfie via Twitter, and mock Kardashian's claims of empowerment.
So @KimKardashian body-fames 41m people with nude selfie tweets but if anyone dares pass critical comment we're 'body-shaming'? Comical.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 9, 2016
Please, no more body-shaming.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 9, 2016
Enough is enough.
I am empowered by my body.
I am allowed to be sexy. pic.twitter.com/SCnffNR1El
Team Kim: Bella Thorne
"@chloemoretz_ @KimKardashian I think every woman should be allowed to make their own choices with their OWN bodies – and it's not our place to tell them what they can and can't do with their body," Thorne said in response to a fan who asked for her thoughts on the selfie controversy.
The actress also approved of the statement Kardashian wrote about the debacle on her website and app.
Team Klothes: Stacey Dash
Although she hasn't served up her own comments on the matter, the actress made her views on the the revealing photo clear by retweeting Moretz's critical tweets.
Team Kim: Emily Ratajkowski
In an apparent swipe against Morgan's commentary, the model slammed the "sexist bull——" that has influenced discussions of Kardashian's photos and the allegations that Kanye authored her tweets.
Love when a man comments on a woman's decision to post a nude photo. Her body, her career. Sexist bullsh*t. @KimKardashian— Emily Ratajkowski (@emrata) March 8, 2016
Also love that when a woman stands up for herself everyone thinks it must be her dude speaking for her. @KimKardashian— Emily Ratajkowski (@emrata) March 8, 2016
Team Kim: Rowan Blanchard
She might only be 14, but the Girl Meets World actress already has her views on nudity and agency all worked out. She took to Twitter to share her appreciation for Kardashian's control over her own image.
Girls being nude publicly isn't new:but isn't it nice when they can be the subject of the image, &the portrayer too? pic.twitter.com/7Ac07O8U6l— Rowan Blanchard (@rowblanchard) March 8, 2016
Team Not-Acting-Tacky: Miley Cyrus
When it comes to nude selfies, Cyrus would just like us all to talk about something else, thank you very much. Sharing a butt Kimoji on Instagram, the singer urged her followers to spend International Women's Day focusing on the greater issues facing womankind.
Dear women, you ALL are acting tacky AF! Why don't we overly (myself included) fortunate women come together and try to create and bring jobs to other women in desperate need of them so they can support not only THEMSELVES but their families! #happyinternationalwomensday can we all put the cuntiness aside for one fucking day and love / celebrate one another! PS no matter how hard you (or myself) work NEVER will I feel I am worthy of the comfort I live in.... Because so many others while I tuck myself in at night are laying their head on the pavement, dreaming of all the things we take for granted every day. Much love to all my women!!!!
