Fresh off his victory at the Iowa caucuses this week, Cruz told reporters in New Hampshire, "We need a commander in chief, not a Twitterer in chief. Donald's insults get more and more hysterical the more and more upset he gets."
Cruz also coined a new nickname for his rival's Twitter outbursts – "Trumper-tantrums" – and suggested his short fuse was a threat to national security. "We're liable to wake up one morning, and Donald, if he were president, would have nuked Denmark," Cruz said.
Trump was uncharacteristically humble when he lost Iowa on Monday, but by Wednesday morning he was fuming. He took to Twitter to accuse Cruz of "stealing" his victory.

He even went so far as to call for a revote.
Hours later, the Texas senator told reporters Trump was "losing it" and that Cruz's two young daughters, Caroline and Catherine, were "better behaved."
But he is game for a rematch of sorts. Cruz challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in the coming days.
