The History of Magic in North America

With the first story set to be released on Tuesday at 9 a.m. ET, readers are already gearing up for another trip into the wizarding world. Here are some of the most ecstatic and hilarious responses to The History of Magic in North America.

Some remained (mostly) clam, like one user, who said the announcement "just made my week."

Others had fun imagining how Potter's magical spells would be incorporated into actual American history.

"Aaron Burr claimed to be under the Imperius Curse when he shot Alexander Hamilton (never been proven) #MagicInNorthAmerica #FantasticBeasts," wrote one Twitter user.

The stories will lead to the arrival of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in 1920s New York City, the plot of the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, due in theaters on Nov. 18.
