Reports suggested that the golf star had cheated on Vonn – a throwback to his high-profile sex scandal that linked him with dozens of women while he was married to ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
But sources close to Woods tell PEOPLE that the issue between them wasn't infidelity. "I know everyone is hoping for a cheating scandal, but it's not," says a member of Woods' circle. "There was no real drama."
Instead, the source insists, the couple's split was much more mundane: they just grew apart. "This was just a relationship that didn't last," says the source. "It didn't work out. They moved apart."

Adds another source: "What Tiger and Lindsey said is true: they have busy schedules and busy lives, and that sunk their relationship. But they don't hate each other. Not at all."
And although the split wasn't Woods' choice, he harbors no ill will. "Tiger is really disappointed that it didn't work out," says the first source. "But he respects Lindsey and understands why it had to end."
