The White House was locked down, Pennsylvania Avenue was closed, and the gates were shut, following protocol, before the pint-size interloper was apprehended.
Edwin Donovan, a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service, told the press that the toddler, who was not identified, received the appropriate punishment.
"We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on [his] way with parents," Donovan said.
