It's Official: Find Out Who's Returning to Twin Peaks – Plus the Showtime Revival's Most Unexpected New Stars

The population of Twin Peaks, Washington, just got a little more star-studded.

When the anticipated revival of cult-favorite '90s series Twin Peaks hits Showtime in 2017, fans can expect to see almost all of the original cast – and some slightly surprising new faces.

The full cast list – which was released on Monday – confirms that Kyle MacLachlan's FBI Agent Dale Cooper is back, as is Mädchen Amick as Shelly Johnson, Richard Beymer as Ben Horne, David Duchovny as transgender DEA agent Denise Bryson, Sherilyn Fenn Audrey Horne, Peggy Lipton as Norma Jennings, James Marshall as James Hurley and Ray Wise as Leland Palmer.

New faces (some previously revealed) include Michael Cera, Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ashley Judd and Naomi Watts.



Some surprising additions include Matthew Lillard, Richard Chamberlain, singer Sky Ferreira, Gossip Girl alum Jessica Szohr, Eddie Vedder and Laura Dern.

The 18-episode revival is due on Showtime in early 2017 and has already been dubbed "stupendous" by the network's boss David Nevins.

"I don't want to sit here and overhype it, but I was incredibly excited. You definitely felt like you were in the hands of a master," he told Entertainment Weekly of the 25 minutes he saw from creator David Lynch.
