Way back in July of 2001, a low-budget "dumb" comedy called Wet Hot American Summer hit a handful of theaters. It was about an '80s summer camp and starred a bunch of mostly unknown actors. Hardly anyone saw it, but those who did either loved it ... or hated it.

But those who loved it, well, we really loved it – so much so that it became a cult classic. Fast forward to July 2015: The unimaginable happened. Not only had many members of the cast become huge Hollywood stars (Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks) in the decade-plus since the original film came out, but our entertainment lord and savior Netflix released a prequel series that brought back the entire cast and also added amazing marquee names such as Jon Hamm, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, Michael Cera and more to the roster.

Less than a year later, Wet Hot fans have reason to rejoice once more. Netflix has greenlit yet another series based on the exploits of the Camp Firewood counselors and their young charges, this time a sequel series that addresses a suggestion by Ben (Bradley Cooper) in the first film, "Hey, let's all promise that in 10 years from today, we'll meet again, and we'll see what kind of people we've blossomed into."

Upon hearing this news, we felt allllll the feels. Ranging from shock …

But it gave us some great lines, too.

It even made us stand up for ourselves …

And feel confident enough to be proud of who we are.

The only bad news? We've got to wait a whole year now.
