America's Most Wanted host John Walsh marked the 25th anniversary of the abduction of his son Adam at a ceremony honoring the safeguarding of all children. On July 27 he and wife Revé (right, with President Bush) attended the signing of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act at the White House. The new law, named for the 6-year-old who was nabbed from a Florida shopping mall in 1981 and later found murdered, will establish a national sex offender registry. Among the attendees was Elizabeth Smart, who was rescued in 2003 after a nine-month abduction. It's a "bittersweet but wonderful day," said Walsh. "This bill is a strike back for all of the victims."
