"My youngest daughter. I haven't had to shop for her for Christmas yet because she's only 5 months. And I know she'll look at me with withering disappointment unless I come through with a very, very likable gift."
"I would say David [Duchovny, her husband]. So we decided to stop. We don't have many needs. He's quite simple. But I can tell you ... I'm getting him tennis shorts this year."
"My wife, because she has the craziest, most eclectic tastes. I'm certain I've found the thing—this is the pendant she's going to love! Or whatever. And she's like, 'I love it!' And then it sits on a shelf for 11 years."
"Probably my mom, because she always feels like she has enough. I don't know what it's going to be this year. Usually it's a vacation."
"The hardest has always been my dad [Donald Sutherland]. He's done really well since I was born, and if he wants something, he seems to have it."
Jada Pinkett Smith
"[My husband] Will [with her and son Jaden on Dec. 2], because he doesn't care about anything. Last year I got him special photos that he's been wanting for years—nude portraits of myself—which was for him the best Christmas gift ever. I think Jaden saw them and said, 'Mommy, what is...?'"
WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO GIVE FOR CHRISTMAS?
"You know, something that I think is nice about Ty [Murray, her longtime beau] and me is we make each other gifts," says the singer (hanging with Santa at her Mastercard's Home for the Holidays concert in Manhattan on Nov. 30). "I do wood burnings or write books. He writes me letters. Giving really starts to be better than receiving. I guess that's a sign of growing up." Which doesn't mean a person can't dream. This year, "Ty wants a private jet," Jewel admits with a laugh. "But it ain't gonna happen!"
