"I'm not this girl all the time," insists Gisele Bündchen of her supersexy Victoria's Secret persona. She is for at least one week a year, though, as she readies for the brand's annual fashion show (airing on CBS Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET). The supermodel, 26, offered PEOPLE an exclusive look at what happens before the wings—and the cameras—go on.

NOV. 7

6 P.M.
Fitting at the Victoria's Secret Design Studio, New York City. Gisele gets her wings—30-in. ostrich feather creations. Unlike at past shows, she says, "these weigh less than my little dog! My back is thanking you!"

6:30 P.M.
One complaint. "I don't see any covering for my booty," she tells the stylists. As senior Angel this year (Heidi Klum is out with her new baby), Gisele requests a costume tweak. "A bit longer would be just beautiful." A piece of fabric is added.

6:45 P.M.
In between costumes, she gets a bit cranky. "I'm naked and it's freezing!"

NOV. 9

3 P.M.
With a break between gigs, Gisele visits the Kisêdjê tribe in her native Brazil to raise awareness of deforestation in the Amazon's Xingu River region.

NOV. 14

1:30 P.M.
Waiting to board a private jet to L.A. She ignores the other models smoking outside the Newburgh, N.Y., hangar. "When I quit smoking [in '03], I gained 15 lbs. So? I prefer myself this way. Nothing is worth your health."

2 P.M.
Reading Tuesdays with Morrie on the plane. "It's so sad, and I'm only on page 68!"

3:20 P.M.
Lunch. Cleans the tray: salad, steak, peas, potatoes, brownie. Then she eats a neighbor's brownie.

4 P.M.
Arrival in Burbank. Greeted by a phalanx of photographers.

NOV. 15

10:30 A.M.
At Grauman's Chinese Theater for the key to Hollywood.

9 P.M.
"Barbecue at my friend's house. I don't want to feel like I'm [just] working and don't have a life!"

NOV. 16

10 A.M.
At the Renaissance Hotel. Multitasking: breakfast of eggs and bacon—and a pedicure. "We have to have beige nails. It's sexy, natural."

11 A.M.
Eyebrow emergency! A bad reaction to a brow waxing puts Gisele "not in a good mood," warns a rep, keeping photographers away.

12:45 P.M.
Eyebrow situation under control, Gisele talks to reporters, gets her hair styled and eats half a tuna sandwich. "If I don't eat before the show, then you wouldn't see me in the show," she says. "'What happened to Gisele?' 'She passed out.'"

3 P.M.
Kodak Theater, where the first of two fashion shows is taped. What goes through her mind on the catwalk? "[Going out,] I focus on a light, then I focus on the wall coming back. That's all I think about when I walk."

3:25 P.M.
"I almost had a heart attack! My skirt got stuck in my shoe for the Scottish outfit. I'm like, 'Skirt, you're disappointing me!'"

8:30 P.M.
Second taping. No gaffes.

10:30 P.M.
Teddy's, a club in Hollywood. Gisele orders a Femme Fatale (vodka, pineapple and Chambord) and some hamburgers at the afterparty, but "I never stay long. I shoot tomorrow, then I leave to Brazil, then Ibiza, then Paris. It's nonstop!"

It takes hair extensions, lilac eye shadow and plenty of false eyelashes to get the "Brigitte Bardot baby doll" look. "For a runway show, it's important to have [fake] eyelashes, because they're seeing you from so far away." Plus, "everybody has to go get a tan."

Sharing the first row—and some in-flight wine—with hairstylist and friend Italo Gregorio, Gisele notes that whenever she is photographed with a man, tabloids "say it's my new lover." (He's not.)

"Oh my god, I'm so glad it's over!" says Gisele (dancing to Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" during the show's finale). "Now I can go to the afterparty with all my friends!"
