A bad sign? American Idol 2006 runner-up Elliott Yamin, 28, is recovering from surgery Sept. 29 after breaking his left pinkie finger. Yamin incurred the injury while throwing rocks at a sign in Richmond, Va. "My finger snapped back and broke," says Yamin. Why was he throwing rocks at a sign? "I was just playing around," he adds. Oh.

After 20 years of marriage, Tony Danza, 55, and his wife, Tracy, 47, have separated, his rep confirmed to PEOPLE. The former talk show host and sitcom star (Taxi and Who's the Boss?), has two daughters, Katie, 19, and Emily, 12, with Tracy.

Controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, 73, revealed in a letter he is seriously ill and undergoing treatment at his Michigan home for "infection and inflammation."
LEGAL MATTERS
"Dr. Phil" McGraw and CSA Nutraceuticals reached a $10.5 million settlement Sept. 15 of a class action suit that alleged the TV talk show host falsely claimed CSA's Shape Up! diet products would lead to weight loss. Under the agreement, neither McGraw, 56, nor CSA admitted any wrongdoing.... Former 98 Degrees band member Jeff Timmons, 33, was sentenced Sept. 27 to a year's probation on charges of driving recklessly and refusing to sign a citation last April.
EXPECTING
Oscar-nominated actress Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), 16, and her boyfriend, Bradley Hull, 19, are expecting their first child this spring. The couple have been dating for three years.
DEATHS
Victoria Anne Simmons, the newborn daughter of Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons, 41 (star of MTV's Run's House and cofounder of the group Run-DMC), and his wife, Justine, 42, died Sept. 26 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J. In a statement, Simmons said, "We see life in death, and believe in the celebration of life in death." ... Actor Edward Albert, the son of Green Acres' Eddie Albert, died Sept. 22 at 55 from lung cancer. With a career spanning more than 100 films, Edward earned a Golden Globe for his role in 1972's Butterflies Are Free with Goldie Hawn.
90210's NEXT GENERATION
Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth, 34, and her husband, actor Peter Facinelli (Fastlane), 32, welcomed their third child, daughter Fiona Eve Facinelli, Sept. 30 in L.A. The newborn joins sisters Luca Bella, 9, and Lola Ray, 3. Says Facinelli: "The baby is home and healthy and keeping us up all night."
