BAG LADY: U.S. Ambassador for UNICEF Lucy Liu found a fashionable way to raise money for the cause: The star teamed up with Derek Lam to design a limited-edition leather-with-lizard-trim clutch for Tod's. "They were so open to my ideas, which presented me with the ideal canvas—absolute freedom," says Liu. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales of the bag will go to the charity....

MOORE FACE TIME: Move over, Julianne and Halle: Demi Moore is the latest member of the 40- and-over club to bag a high-profile cosmetics deal: Helena Rubinstein just signed the 43-year-old star to be the face of their brand, with an ad campaign launching in January. Says Rubinstein's Simona Cattaneo: "[Demi is] the modern woman of today."

WHY SHE'S ONE TO WATCH: The former Disney executive and high-end jewelry publicist just launched Jewels et Jim, the first-ever line of luxe medical ID jewelry at Neiman Marcus and Gearys.
Van Hees-Aidner, 49, believes that medical ID tags can be lifesaving and fashionable—she and partner James Martin decided to create Jewels et Jim after the teenage daughter of one of her friends deemed her own epilepsy bracelet too ugly to wear. "They're pretty and not obtrusive," she says of her line, which ranges from sterling silver to 18k gold pieces. (One's ailment can be engraved on the back of the charm.) Van Hees-Aidner, who has lupus, will donate a portion of the line's proceeds to lupus and epilepsy charities.
