(KINGSTON JAMES MCGREGOR
MAY 26, 7 LBS. 8 OZ.)

Rule No. 1 in Gwen Stefani's pregnancy guidebook? Don't kiss your signature style goodbye. Just two days before delivering her first child, the 36-year-old pop star was seen shopping for paper lanterns in L.A.'s Chinatown district, flaunting her trademark scarlet lips. But Stefani's candy-red mouth will be harder to maintain with all the smooches she'll be planting on her new son, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, who made his debut—with a full head of hair—on May 26 via C-section. Dad Gavin Rossdale—along with Stefani's parents—was present for the delivery. (McGregor is Rossdale's middle name, and Kingston is the name of the London suburb near the couple's home—as well as the capital of Jamaica, a country that has long inspired Stefani's music and fashion.) The day after Kingston's arrival, Rossdale, 40, happily said of the new mom, "She's doing great!" And, of course, "She looks amazing!"

HAUTE MAMA-TO-BE

Stefani loved kimono-style dresses—"variations on the geisha theme," says Jennifer Noonan, owner of L.A.'s Naissance on Melrose where the singer shopped.

KINGSTON'S NURSERY

A ROCKIN' CRIB
For the black-and-white nursery in their Los Feliz, Calif., home, the couple ordered a Cherubini French antique-style crib (1) from Art for Kids and had it painted a high-gloss black. Stefani chose the whimsical $315 Robin Dots bedding from dwellbaby (3), while Rossdale selected the $360 animal-print set (2) from the same line.

Gwen's Designs For Little L.A.M.B.s

MINI-ME
On June 18 Harajuku Lovers onesies, bibs and T-shirts ($18-$22) will hit shops like Fred Segal. The line "is about being super kawaii [Japanese for 'cute'], and everything about babies is super cute," says Stefani. Already out: tiny L.A.M.B. sneakers ($50; lambshoes.com).
