Terri's Parents Have Their Say
Robert and Mary Schindler (with daughter Suzanne, left) have just brought out their own book about their daughter, A Life That Matters: The Legacy of Terri Schiavo—A Lesson for Us All. They recall a vibrant girl who loved animals and Duran Duran. "We wanted to give people a chance to know who Terri was," says her father, Robert. The book also recounts their bitter battle to prevent what they call her "legally sanctioned killing." They haven't decided whether they'll read Schiavo's account. "What Michael Schiavo does has no impact on us any longer," Robert says. "There is nothing he can do to harm our daughter anymore."
