The wit and arrogance of Oscar Wilde are brought to florid life by Vincent Price in this one-man play compiled by John Gay from the author's works. Oscar Fingall O'Flahertie Wills Wilde was born in 1854, and enjoyed fame in Victorian England, then married and fathered two sons before his ill-fated affair with Lord. Alfred Douglas was made public. It led to his conviction for homosexual acts and imprisonment for two years. Humiliated, he died in Paris at 46. Price's masterly performance proves again that his range as an actor reaches far beyond horror movies and Hollywood Squares. He plays Washington's Ford Theater Nov. 8-13, followed by four weeks in Boston.
