Mel Tillis

Tillis teams on this LP with an unlikely partner, Waylon Jennings, on the appealing if almost too clever tune, Mason Dixon Lines (it has to do with propositions, not geography), written by Dan Mitchell. The rest of the album—such songs as I'll Take As Much of You As I Can Get, She Meant Forever When She Said Goodbye and Even at Her Worst (She's Still the Best)—is standard Tillis, which is high standard stuff, smooth, clean country music minus the rhinestones.
