Musician Ike Turner, 63, divorced from Tina Turner for 19 years, wed dancer-singer Jeanette Bazzell, 32, on July 4, in Las Vegas. It is her first marriage.
American tennis player Jeff Tarango, 26, set a Wimbledon record—for bad behavior. After rudely disputing an umpire's call on July 1, he stalked off, defaulting the match. His wife, Benedicte, 30, slapped the ump as he walked to the referee's office. Tarango was fined $15,500, breaking John McEnroe's 1991 record penalty of $10,000 for verbally abusing a line judge.
Actor Dudley Moore, 60, and his wife, Nicole Rothschild, 31, welcomed their first child, Nicholas Anthony (6 lbs., 9 ozs.) on June 28 in L.A. Moore also has Patrick, 18, from his marriage to actress Tuesday Weld, and Rothschild has Lauren, 8, and Christopher, 6, from her first marriage.
Judge Dredd's Sylvester Stallone, 49, who split with his fiancée, model Angie Everhart, 25, four weeks ago, is now reportedly engaged to one of his ex-flames, model Jennifer Flavin, 26. Flavin made the announcement on a syndicated TV magazine show July 3. Stallone's publicist, however, would not confirm that the couple, who dated for five years before breaking up in March 1994, were heading for the altar.

The white, three-piece polyester suit that John Travolta wore in 1977's Saturday Night Fever fetched $145,500 at Christie's auction house in Manhattan on June 28, smashing the previous record price for a movie costume: $46,000, for Marilyn Monroe's dress from There's No Business Like Show Business. The seller was film critic Gene Siskel; the buyer, a European collector, prefers to remain anonymous.
On June 30 in Michigan's Oakland County Circuit Court, the Saks Fifth Avenue department store sued singer Aretha Franklin, 53, for failing to pay bills totaling $262,851.15.
Helen J. Boiardi, 90, who, with her husband, Hector, created Chef Boyar-dee, one of America's first packaged-convenience-food companies, died of natural causes on July 3 in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The familiar chef's face appearing on their labels had belonged to Hector, who died in 1985.
Pauline Gore, 82, an attorney and mother of Vice President Al Gore Jr., was hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville on July 5 following a heart attack. Mrs. Gore subsequently suffered a stroke in the hospital. Doctors are "cautiously optimistic" about her condition.
