In the British fashion sweepstakes, Princess Diana had the field to herself for a decade. But lately she has been getting thoroughbred competition from royal clotheshorse Viscountess Linley, 25. Since marrying Princess Margaret's son, David Linley, in 1993, Serena has rarely worn the same outfit twice. On a clothing budget estimated to be $155,000 a year, she gallops through the Continental houses of Armani, Valentino and Hervé Leger, among others, for proper frocks to drape her 5'3" frame. The result? Fast track. Says designer Pamela Dennis: "This lady knows how to wear sex appeal."
