Dub Taylor, 87, a character actor who appeared in more than 300 movies, including such films as Bonnie and Clyde (1967), The Wild Bunch (1969) and Back to the Future III (1990), died Oct. 3 of congestive heart failure in Westlake Village, Calif. Taylor, who was discovered by director Frank Capra, made his film debut in Capra's You Can't Take It with You (1938). Taylor also often worked in TV including stints on Please Don't Eat the Daisies from 1965 to 1966 and on Hee Haw from 1983 to 1988....

Faith Davis, 95, listed in The Guinness Book of Records as part of the oldest set of triplets in the world (PEOPLE 8/8/94), died Oct. 2 in a retirement home in Sweetwater, Texas. Faith is survived by her sisters Charity and Hope.

Madonna, 36, reached an out-of-court settlement on Sept. 27 in Los Angeles with three dancers who appeared in her 1991 film, Truth or Dare. Gabriel Trupin, 22, Kevin Stea, 24, and Oliver Crumes, 24, had claimed that their privacy was invaded when Madonna used footage of them without their consent. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed....

Accountant Keith Moore, 50, was charged on Oct. 4 in London with stealing nearly $5 million from the rock star Sting between August 1988 and July 1992. Moore, who was released on bail, is due back in court on Nov. 14....

In superior court in Washington, on Oct. 4, Andrew Koppel, 24, a Georgetown University law student who is the son of Nightline's Ted Koppel, received a three-month suspended sentence and one year's probation for assaulting Patrick Ahearn, 30, an aide to Georgia Sen. Paul Coverdell, at an automatic-teller machine last November. Koppel, who was convicted of simple assault charges in July, said he had been defending himself after Ahearn pushed him. Ahearn had claimed that Koppel hit him after insulting his suit. Koppel has been ordered to pay $1,450 in fines and restitution and to undergo "alcohol abuse and violence counseling."

Michael Fay, the 19- year-old who was caned in Singapore earlier this year for vandalizing cars, revealed on Sept. 29 that he had entered Hazelden clinic in Center City, Minn., on Sept. 4 to be treated for an addiction to inhaling butane lighter-fluid fumes. His treatment will last between 30 and 60 days.

After 25 years of marriage, Prince Karim Aga Khan, 57, one of the world's richest men, with a fortune estimated at $1.4 billion, and his wife, former model Sally Croker-Poole, 54, are divorcing. The Aga Khan, whose father was once married to actress Rita Hayworth, is revered by 12 million Ismaili Muslims as a direct descendant of the prophet Muhammad. The couple have three children, Princess Zahra, 24, Prince Rahim, 23, and Prince Hussain, 20.

Gary Larson, 44, creator of the syndicated cartoon The Far Side, announced on Oct. 3 that he plans to retire at the end of the year. Larson, who has drawn the cartoon for 15 years, said he is retiring because of "simple fatigue and a fear that if I continue for many more years, my work will begin to suffer or at the very least ease into the Graveyard of Mediocre Cartoons." He will continue to work on Far Side books, calendars and greeting cards.
