Roseanne, two months pregnant, tucked into a heart-shaped cake with groom No. 3, her former bodyguard Ben Thomas, after their Valentine's Day wedding in Stateline, Nev. Guests included Roseanne's Laurie Metcalf, Garry Shandling, Rosie's first husband, Bill Pentland, and her four children.
Even when it took a detour into her blouse, a boa constrictor didn't crimp Drew Barrymore's style. The Boys on the Side star proudly wore her slinky boa as a guest on fX TV's The Pet Department.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, sometimes it's the much-savored reward after a hard day on the slopes, as it was for Melrose Place co-star Daphne Zuniga at the third annual Race to Erase MS Pro Celebrity Ski Benefit in Vail, Colo. Zuniga's five-person team, The Funky Bunch, included four-time world champ Bernard Knauss and helped the event raise $2 million to fight multiple sclerosis.
Oh, Mr. Grant! Mary Tyler Moore, a co-honoree with ABC's David Brinkley at last week's Museum of Television & Radio fete in New York City, got buss service from two of her former newsroom colleagues at WJM-TV in Minneapolis, the fictional setting of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, her classic '70s sitcom. On the right side: Ed Asner, who played Mary Richards' gruff boss, Lou Grant. Burning the other cheek: Gavin MacLeod (Mary's pal Murray Slaughter) who would later sail on as The Love Boat's Captain Stubing.
O.J.'s daughter Arnelle Simpson took a breather from her father's trial to join childhood neighbor and lifelong pal Jonah Wilson at the gala wedding reception for his uncle Beach Boy Brian Wilson held at L.A.'s Hotel Bel-Air.
A crimson tide of crinoline swept through New York City's Plaza Hotel for the Red Ball, opening with Broadway chanteuse Liliane (Nine) Montevecchi, who presented a showstopping cri de coeur (above). Michael's Mrs., Diandra Douglas (bottom right), was among the honorees at the bash thrown by Broadway producer Martin Richards in memory of his wife, Mary Lea Johnson Richards, and benefiting New York University Medical Center. Ever stylish Joan Rivers (top right) was a presenter at the gala, which drew Great White Way supporters Rue McClanahan, Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller.
