It's the perennial bimbo lament, but Daly, whose hunk-next-door appeal has helped keep Wings aloft for five seasons, has credentials to back his claim. He graduated from Bennington College in 1979 as a theater major, made his movie debut in the acclaimed 1982 film Diner and drew rave reviews for his portrayal of a well-endowed lifeguard opposite Annette Bening in the 1987 Broadway drama Coastal Disturbances.
Still, although he's married (to actress Amy Van Nostrand for 13 years) with two kids, it's easy to be blinded by lust when confronting his aerobicized physique. "I'd date Tim if he were single," says his TV fiancee. Crystal Bernard. "He has a great body. And his skin—it's so smooth, it's like milk, even on his arms and chest." Would Daly have it any other way? "My natural self is John Goodman," he says. "If I relaxed, I'd be him."
