Welsh baritone Sir Geraint Evans, 70, who made his mark singing Figaro at London's Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, died of a heart attack on Sept. 19 in Aberystwyth, Wales. After a media blitz that transfixed New Yorkers with a tale of sex tapes, teenage prostitution and attempted murder, Amy Fisher, 18, the so-called Long Island Lolita, admitted to the May 19 shooting of Mary Jo Buttafuoco, 37, the wife of Fishers alleged lover, Joey, 36. In exchange for her guilty plea. Fisher was charged with first-degree assault and will be sentenced to 5-to-15 years in prison. (She had laced 8 1/3-to-25 years for attempted murder.) Authorities are now expected to charge Joey Buttafuoco, with whom Fisher says she began sleeping when she was 16, with statutory rape.
Music mogul Quincy Jones and his companion of six months, actress Nastassja (Cat People) kinski, are expecting a child next spring. Jones, 59, the father of six. has been married three-times, most recently to actress Peggy Upton. Kinski, 32, has two children by ex-husband Ibrahim Moussa, an Egyptian film producer....
