THE 67 HAPPY YOUNGSTERS ABOVE were our colleagues briefly last week as PEOPLE joined with thousands of companies in Take Our Daughters to Work Day. The national event attracted aspiring marine biologists, actresses and others to our offices on April 28, where they had lunch with Good Morning America cohost Joan Lunden and heard her talk about her career, toured our art, editorial and production facilities and put together their own magazine, making the same sorts of decisions we make. Cover subject? Oprah, by a hair over actor Christian Slater. What about TV's 90210? "Dead," declared the majority. Hot? Rap stars Dr. Dre and Ed Lover, comedian Martin Lawrence. Did we entice any future coworkers? "It's so interesting to find out what your mother does at the office," said Lindsay Kaplan, 9, daughter of reporter Gail Nussbaum. "But I still want to be a professional horseback rider."
