Pop sensation Mariah Carey slipped out the backstage door of New York City's Palladium club after performing there at the eighth-anniversary party of WHTZ (Z-100), a local radio station. Her next album, Emotions, is due next month.
Bridget Fonda brought boyfriend Eric (Memphis Belle) Stoltz with her to the L.A. opening of Doc Hollywood, a comedy in which she costars with Michael J. Fox. Fonda, whose father is Peter, currently is shooting a thriller called Single White Female.
Christine Lahti cradled her most precious carry-on, son Wilson, 3, through the airport in Los Angeles. Her husband is Thomas Schlamme, who directed Lahti in the made-for-cable movie Crazy from the Heart, which TNT will premiere on Aug. 19 (see page 9).
Ted Danson and wife Casey also kept an appointment with Doc Hollywood, joining Bridget Fonda and Eric Stoltz at a benefit screening to raise money for the Ocean Park Community Center. Danson is back behind the bar this month shooting his 10th season of Cheers.
Damon Wayans, (far left), with actress Stacey Dash, showed pal Robert Townsend around the Chicago set of Mo' Money, a film Wayans wrote. Damon vies with Keenen, his older bro and Living Color costar, for an Emmy on Aug. 25.
