"MY BEST FEATURE IS PROBABLY my vast knowledge of show tunes," says Rebecca Romijn
with a toothsome laugh. "Which doubles as my worst feature." Those who have seen the charms of the 24-year-old Dutch-American model displayed in SPORTS ILLUSTRATED swimsuit spreads and Victoria's Secret catalogs might argue. But forget the cloud of golden hair, the magnetic blue eyes and the dangerously curved body. Earthy and accessible, Romijn (pronounced "romaine, like the lettuce") prefers humor to homage. "She's so funny," says fellow catwalker and pal Tyra Banks
, "I get a cramp in my side from laughing at her jokes." Raised in Berkeley, Calif., Romijn keeps things sunny-side up. Her most important beauty secret, aside from a tattoo on her left ankle bearing her initials and those of three friends, is basic hygiene. After she eats, she says, "I make sure there's nothing in my teeth." Such vivacity is infectious. Says her boyfriend of two years, actor John Stamos: "When I'm around her, I'm happier, I'm funnier, I'm more intelligent. Looking through her eyes, I get all that." The 5'11" Romijn does get serious about one thing: She wouldn't mind being a little shorter, so that when she's out with the 6' Stamos, she could wear heels and, she says, "not feel like his mother."
