After Nicole Contos's fiancé, Tasos Michael, left her, famously, stranded at the altar on the day of their $100,000 Manhattan wedding last November, the kindergarten teacher made hay by sharing her tale with everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Katie Couric. Michael, meanwhile, flew or to Tahiti, where the couple had planned to honeymoon. Now the British lawyer is shopping around a tell-all book about his wedding day disappearance, Honeymoon for One. Contos, his spurned bride, isn't worried about its content. "I don't think he'll come off looking better," she says. "I mean, how can he? He handles himself in the worst possible way." Contos and her agent, however, are taking the high road. Her planned project? A television movie....
The 5'7" Billy Crystal may be diminutive in stature, but he sure knows how to get what he wants from big, muscly action heroes like Steven Seagal: He appeals to their even bigger egos. When trying to persuade Seagal to do a cameo in his latest comedy, My Giant, says Crystal, "I told him that if he didn't want the role, Jean-Claude Van Damme had already said yes."
