A Montana judge decided on May 26 that Patricia Shannon, 64, who claimed that for 29 years she had been the secret paramour of Charles Kuralt, does not have a valid right to the late CBS newsman's fishing retreat in the state. A letter that Kuralt penned in 1989 gave the property to Shannon, but the judge ruled that a will drawn up in 1994 superseded it, leaving the real estate to Suzanna, Kuralt's wife of 35 years, and his children.
After a four-month separation, country singer Alan Jackson, 39, and wife Denise, 38, have patched things up, according to a statement released by the couple on May 27. The high school sweethearts married in 1979 and have three girls.

Manhattan cops nabbed Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland, 30, on June 1, shortly after he allegedly bought $100 worth of heroin. The musician, who has been in and out of rehab more than a dozen times, was last arrested for buying dope in 1995, but that charge was dismissed after a stint in one of those rehabs. He now faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass.
Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, 24, unable to win immunity from independent counsel Kenneth Starr in his investigation of President Clinton, said hasta la vista on June 2 in Washington, D.C., to William Ginsburg, the L.A. medical malpractice attorney who has represented her since January.
