Pop's latest duet, 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears—who just can't say "bye bye bye" to one another these days—warmed up the crowd at the My VH1 Music Awards in L.A. Timberlake was a presenter at the inaugural event; Spears stood by her man and picked up pointers for her Jan. 8 gig hosting the American Music Awards.

Show me the love, baby: Sir Elton John kissed a lady friend, Elle Macpherson, in London, where the model attended the opening of Out of the Closet III, John's version of spring-cleaning, in which he sells his old wardrobe—more than 30,000 items this year alone—to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Bundled in the jungle: Dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker Jerry Seinfeld cheerfully braved frigid temperatures when he and wife Jessica took their nearly 4-week-old daughter Sascha out for a stroll on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

ShavED TV: As fellow actors Mel, Bruce, Woody and Samuel L. did before him, Matthew McConaughey has decided to make his own bald statement. He'll next be seen—hair intact—in the romantic comedy The Wedding Planner, due Jan. 26.

Flashing that million-dollar smile—okay, better make that $20 million—Julia Roberts tried to eat and run after lunching at the posh Ivy in Los Angeles. The actress will next appear opposite Brad Pitt and The Sopranos' James Gandolfini in the action flick The Mexican, due in March.

Musical merger: New York City's St. Patrick's Cathedral rocked just a bit as suave and slimmed-down Sony Music Entertainment chief Tommy Mottola wed Mexican singer Thalia in a ceremony that drew 275 people. It was Mottola's third marriage (he and Mariah Carey divorced in 1998), and many of his artists came to play, including, clockwise from top left, a solo Jennifer Lopez; Gloria and Emilio Estefan; and Bruce Springsteen, still recognizable despite the facial hair.

Recipients of this year's Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., included Clint Eastwood, Angela Lansbury, Chuck Berry, Plácido Domingo and Mikhail Baryshnikov, who brought daughter Aleksandra, 19 (mom is Jessica Lange). The show airs Dec. 27 on CBS.

Tip off: Forget recent reports that actors Edward Norton and Salma Hayek are on the outs. The couple's courting continued in L.A. as they watched the Lakers beat the Spurs. Hayek next appears in the drug drama Traffic.

New episodes of Sex and the City won't air until next June, which left Sarah Jessica Parker with plenty of time to sample the latest in party-favor fashion on the L.A. set of her new comedy Life Without Dick.
