Actress Cynthia Watros (Titus), 32, and her husband, restaurateur Curt Gilliland, 39, had twins, Emma Rose Marie and Sadie Anna Marie, July 14 in L.A.

...Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 47, and his architect wife, Mary, 42, welcomed their fourth child, a boy (unnamed at press time), on July 13 in Westchester Co., N.Y. But the lawyer did so in absentia. On July 6 Kennedy was sentenced to 30 days in jail for trespassing during a protest of U.S. Navy bombing exercises on the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico.

In Court
Robert Downey Jr., 36, pleaded no contest July 16 in Indio, Calif., to one count of cocaine possession and one count of being under the influence in a plea bargain to stay out of jail. The actor was ordered to spend up to one year in a live-in drug-rehabilitation program and sentenced to three years of probation. Downey was arrested last November at a Palm Springs hotel.

Legal Matters

Former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire contestant Richard Rosner, 41, filed suit against that show's producers and ABC for more than $1 million July 10 in L.A. Rosner wants to return to the game show after missing what he alleges was this faulty $16,000 question: "What capital city is located at the highest altitude above sea level?" The answer is La Paz, Bolivia, but Rosner said La Paz was not one of the four choices he was given. ABC had no comment....

Tennis titan Boris Becker, 33, reached a reported $2.2 million agreement with model Angela Ermakova, 34, on July 10 in London to support their daughter Anna, 1. Becker initially denied paternity, but DNA tests proved otherwise.

Hospitalized
Maureen Reagan, 60, the daughter of former President Ronald Reagan and actress Jane Wyman, entered Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, Calif., on July 6 to undergo whole-brain radiation for melanoma. Earlier this year, Reagan, a spokeswoman for the Alzheimer's Association, underwent chemotherapy for metastatic melanoma.

Dismissed
Bartender Justin Sebik, 26, a contestant on CBS's Big Brother 2, was booted off the show July 10 after he held a knife to a female contestant's throat. The woman was unharmed and no criminal charges were filed.

Deaths
Tap dancer Maceo Anderson, 90, a founding member of the Four Step Brothers, died of a heart attack on July 4 in L.A.

Sequel

On July 13 a San Jose, Calif., judge sentenced Andrew Burnett, 28, the telephone repairman who hurled a small dog into traffic in a fit of road rage after a fender-bender on a busy highway, to three years in prison (PEOPLE, April 30, 2001). Burnett, who was convicted June 19 for the death of Sara McBurnett's bichon frise, received the maximum penalty for felony animal cruelty....

Sean Salley, 29, a suspect in the murder of Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Stahl (PEOPLE, May 28, 2001), was arrested July 15 in Miami after a story aired on FOX's America's Most Wanted. Salley had been on the run since he and another suspect, Andre Smith, allegedly shot Stahl and four others during a May 10 robbery in her apartment above Manhattan's Carnegie Deli.
